University Placement

UCTI Diploma and Degree courses are recognised for advanced entry into various Bachelor of Science Degree courses in a number of universities. Students successfully completing the Diploma are eligible for entry into the second year and those with Level 2 for entry into the final year.

In order that all applications are processed smoothly, you must ensure that the following information is fully understood and if in doubt, please contact the UCTI Student Services.

UK is closer than you think!
Applying for admission
You must complete an application form for each university you wish to apply to. Application forms can be obtained from the Student Services. Please submit the complete application forms to the Student Services together with copies of the relevant certificates. If you are waiting for your results, please list all the subjects with pending results in the application form.

It is important that all application forms are submitted to UCTI, where all other activities such as authentication of results and references are completed before the form is sent to the University of your choice.

If these procedures are not followed, it can cause unnecessary delays and at times rejections as well due to a variety of reasons. UCTI will then be unable to assist you.

To ensure smooth processing of your application, the application forms should be submitted to UCTI by 1st June of the year of entry for UK universities. As for Australian universities, application forms should be submitted by 1st of September for the following year February/March intake and 1st March for July intake of the same year. If your application is received after these dates, you may face difficulties in making the necessary arrangements such as air travel, accommodation and visas on time.

Accepting or declining an offer of admission
If your application is successful, the university will send to UCTI or directly to you a conditional or unconditional offer of admission. Please inform the Student Services of your decision to accept or decline the offer.

If you are given a conditional offer and have accepted it, UCTI will send the final examination results to the respective university once the results are available. If the conditions are fulfilled, the university will issue an unconditional offer and you must reconfirm your acceptance of the offer.

Visas
According to British High Commission requirements, you need to apply for a visa to study in UK. You need to have the necessary documents when entering UK and provide sufficient proof that you have been accepted by a UK university and have financial means of staying there and coming back. To study in Australia, you are required to apply for e-visa by logging onto www.immi.gov.au.

For more details, please contact Student Services.

Accommodation
All universities provide accommodation for international students although this cannot be guaranteed for the late applications. When you have accepted the unconditional offer for admision, the accommodation details will be sent to you. You will be given types of accommodation that are available and relevant details such as coast and facilities provided. You are usually required to state your preferences and the university will inform you of the room allocated.
Induction Program
The Universities conduct induction programs for new students before the actual course begins. When you have accepted the unconditional offer, the details of the induction program will be sent to you. You should arrive at the university before the induction program begins.
